• Animal Bears  - These lists includes all stamps featuring the animal kind of bears (versus, say, teddy bears).    You can also download the "full" bear lists on this page, as well as link to lists of specific bear types.  NOTE:  Koala bears are not really "bears" and thus will not appear on my lists.  I do, however, list Lesser Pandas and Pandas despite the controversy of whether these are really bears or not.

• Teddy/Toy Bears - This list includes anything that looks like a teddy or toy bear.

• Cartoon/Fictional Bears - This list includes any bear that is a cartoon character or illustrates a fictional character or mascot.  Examples include Winnie the Pooh, "The Three Bears", etc.
   
• "Official" Bears - This list includes bears that are on official symbols of countries, states or cities, such as the Berlin Bear and bears on coats of arms, flags, etc.   
   
• Bears in Art and Artifacts - This list includes bears in paintings, sculptures, jewelry, etc.
   
• Bears on Postal Stationary - This list includes any officially released postal stationary item with a bear anywhere on it.
   
• "Illegal" Bear Issues - In an effort to inform collectors of bear stamps about illegal issues which may be found for sale online and at some stamp shows, I am attempting to keep up with illegal issue circulars as reported by the UPU. 
   
• WWF Panda Bear Logo Stamps - This list includes any World Wildlife Fund stamp issues that have the panda bear logo on them, but no other bear.  If the stamp also has a bear on it, it will be on the bears (animal) lists.  I do not collect these stamps, so this list may not be updated often.
   
• Special Bear Cancellations - This page contains information about cancellations/postmarks featuring bears.
   
• Image Gallery - This page lets you see the bear stamp images that I have.  Images are sorted by country.
   
• Bear Stamps in Literature - This page has a short list of known articles and books relating to collecting bear stamps.

Important things to know about the lists:

• This is very subjective, so bear with me (no pun intended).  I tend to move stamps from one list to another or place them on multiple lists as I find appropriate.  I don't mean to confuse anybody, but this is a work in progress.  It's very hard to classify a stamp by only its catalog description if I haven't seen the real stamp.
• I list stamps that have bears as the main theme as well as stamps that don't (such as a teddy bear being held by a child). 
• Please double check the numbers before purchasing the stamps.  I have found mistakes in the past and there are probably more out there.
