Illegal IssuesNote: there are numerous "bear" stamps from Benin that are for sale in the philatelic market, but many, if not most, either have been deemed illegal or are probably illegal. I've placed some images in the list below that I suspect are illegal, as well as stamps officially deemed illegal by the UPU.  It is ultimately up to the collector as to whether they buy these stamps or not. My goal is to inform potential buyers of such stamps that they are in fact illegal issues and are therefore invalid for use as postage, and have no philatelic value.
